Structure of EBEC Challenge

EBEC Challenge is a 2-phased, team-based competition in 2 categories  –  Team Design and Case Study. Both categories are based on interdisciplinary tasks developed for students of technology. Each student that comes from a technical university where a Local BEST Group is operating has the right to take part in EBEC Challenge.

EBEC Challenge is concepted in a way that all the participants in each National or Regional Round will work in an aligned way all together, to solve a bigger European-wide problem. Each National or Regional Round solves individually a set of subproblems which then will be combined and can be used to solve the bigger problem. This way, the participants of EBEC Challenge, from different parts of Europe, will be working together towards the same goal, while working on differents parts of the same project. In the end, all of this will culminate in a big European-wide solution to the problem.

The Regional Round of the European BEST Engineering Competition Challenge – EBEC Challenge Balkan is an event organized by local BEST groups from Belgrade, Maribor, Mostar, Novi Sad, Niš, Podgorica, Skopje and Zagreb. Before the Regional Round, there are eight local qualifying rounds, one in each of these cities.

This year the regional competition will be held in Niš from 11th to 15th of May 2018 and will gather 64 students from the Balkans.

Therefore, the realization of it is only possible with the support of universities, different institutions, companies, medias and the others who recognize the enthusiasm of these students and realize how important this competition can be in developing one student’s life. Improvement of engineering practical and theoretical skills, building a team spirit and making the students think unique and be creative, are only some of the benefits of this project. Among the most important is making the connection between the ones in the international.
